Sami Beach Hotel in Kefalonia was founded by us, the Dorizas family, originating from Sami. The local family of Spyros and Paraskevi Dorizas had 5 sons: Stavros, Dionysis, Yiannis, Periklis and Kostas. At a young age, the Dorizas brothers decided to leave our home in Kefalonia due to the hard economic conditions of that era. This is why we moved to the USA in search for a better life.
There, in 1971, we opened a fish restaurant in Chicago. We called it “My Place For?” and it flourished for more than 30 years.
In 1988, we decided to open Sami Beach Hotel in Sami, Kefalonia island, Greece. Today, with 30 years of experience in the hospitality sector, we have managed to make Sami Beach Hotel one of the most beautiful places to stay in the region of Sami. Our intention is to offer our guests authentic Greek hospitality and the most exceptional services for an enjoyable holiday in Kefalonia.
